First Step - Taking the Test
How does the First Step Food Intolerance Test work?
You will receive your First Step Food Intolerance Test within 5 working days.
All tests are designed to fit through letter boxes so there will be no delay in
receiving it. 
Your test kit will include:Blood collection kit
Prepaid return envelope
Instructions for use
Customer details form
Complete the customer details form.
Write your name and the date clearly on the side of the plastic wand container.
Wash your hands thoroughly in warm water and dry.
Wipe the side of your finger or thumb with the antiseptic wipe provided and allow
to dry. You may also find it beneficial submerging your hands in warm/hot water
for 5 minutes before you start.
Firmly grasp the head and green cover of the lancet.
Twist and pull the cover of the lancet.
Place the lancet against the side of your finger/thumb and press the green plunger
to puncture the skin. 
Hold your hand at waist level (or lower than heart) and massage finger or thumb
from base to the tip to produce a large droplet of blood.
Hold the wand by the plastic cover and allow the blood to soak up. 
The wand must be red throughout, showing it is completely full. We need this
to be full as it contains the precise amount of blood needed for testing.
Immediately place the full wand inside the wand container.
Put the sample and the lancet (for safe disposal) back inside the plastic YORKTEST box.
Return to our laboratory in the pre-paid plastic envelope provided within two
days. Please also remember to enclose your completed customer details form.
Post your pack and receive your results within 10 days.
